Nick Cannon:

Nick Cannon, 35 years old, is a successful, multi-faceted entertainer: comedian, TV executive producer and host, film star/director, consumer electronics entrepreneur, philanthropist and children’s book author.  Cited by People Magazine as one of the “Top 10 Most Successful Young People in Hollywood,” Cannon proves focus and hard work pays off.

A San Diego native, Cannon began performing at the age of 8 after his grandfather left him several instruments as a gift. Shortly after, Cannon took the stage to perform his music along with stand-up comedy. Eventually, Cannon headed for Hollywood at the age of 15 and landed gigs at world-renowned comedy venues including The Improv, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store. Cannon went on to share the stage with the likes of Chris Tucker, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock before landing his first television gig as a series regular and writer on Nickelodeon’s long-running hit series All That, making him the youngest staff writer in television history. This path culminated in the creation of The Nick Cannon Show, which he starred in, directed and executive produced.

Cannon later enjoyed much success on MTV as the creator, producer and host of one of MTV’s highest rated shows, Wild ‘N Out. Originally debuting in 2005, the improv comedy show aired for four consecutive seasons before being revived in July 2013 on MTV2.  The show, which just entered into its 7th season, had the highest season premiere debut in the network’s history.  Presently he is also host of NBC’s #1 rated show America’s Got Talent which just wrapped their 10th season.  Through his highly successful multi-media company NCredible Entertainment, Cannon produces TV and film projects, including Nickelodeon’s Make It Pop (currently in production on its 2nd season), The Nickelodeon HALO Awards (entering it’s 7th annual production), TeenNick Top 10, as well as Oxygen’s Like A Boss (debuting January 2016).

On the film side, Cannon made his first appearance on the big screen alongside Will Smith in Men in Black II.  Other credits include the classic feature film Drumline and the Emilio Estevez written and directed film Bobby, for which Cannon was awarded the “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” at the Cannes Film Festival. Cannon recently wrote, directed and produced his first studio film School Dance, and Executive Produced the sequel to Drumline entitled Drumline: A New Beat for VH-1.  Cannon recently completed filming the male lead character role in Spike Lee’s new controversial movie Chi’Raq which will be released in theaters December 2015.  He also inked 2 multi-year first look television production deals:  one with NBC Universal to develop scripted and unscripted fare, and the other with Viacom that focuses on content for kids.

Noted by the New York Times as “one of the most recognizable personalities in teen media,” Cannon also actively serves as the CEO of the teen magazine Celebrity High, as well as Chairman of TeenNick, Nickelodeon’s television network aimed at the teen audience.

While his professional body of work keeps him extremely busy, Cannon has always made the time to use his resources and his voice as a philanthropist to give back to the community and those in need - working with nationally recognized organizations such as Feeding America, Boys and Girls Club, Do Something, Toys for Tots, Stomp Out Bullying, Lupus Foundation of America and The National Kidney Foundation to name a few - in addition to being an active member on the Board of Directors of New York’s St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital and running his own Nicholas Scott Cannon Foundation.
