Even as a toddler, he would entertain at family gatherings, most of the time against his will. Years of therapy have helped him recover from these traumatic times. Thanks to Rodney’s school years, school administrators decided corporal punishment was no longer necessary in the school system; they now want capital punishment!

Laney’s comedy career started capriciously in 1988. While in the Air Force, stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio, he accompanied a fellow airman, an amateur comic, to a comedy club. His friend bombed, but Rod took the stage and received thunderous applause. It was instant addiction; for Rodney it was the stage, for his friend it was crack cocaine.

For the next decade, he performed at open mikes, private parties, and wherever he got the chance. His professional career began in 1997. He commenced performing in clubs and colleges from New York to California. He was featured at Chris Tucker’s Comedy Club in Atlanta, during the Urban Comedy Festival “Laffapalooza” and Judy Carter’s comedy showcase in Big Bear California. He mostly appears in NYC, at the Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Caroline’s and Dangerfield’s.

Some comics wait for their big break, not Rod, he is making his big break. In 2001 he acted and executive produced his first feature film “Pride & Loyalty,” which started its pay per view release June 2002. It starred an array of soap stars from “One Life to Live,” “Guiding Light,” and “All My Children” including: Marj Dusay, Gina Tognoni, John Bolger and Emmy nominated Rebecca Budig.

In 2002, he played Willie in the comedy “Tinsel Town,” by Public Defender Pictures. It starred Paul Taylor, (2001 Emmy nominee from “As the World Turns”) John Palumbo, (“OZ”) Johnny Williams, (“GoodFellas,” “Honeymoon in Vegas”) and Eileen Fulton (Emmy-winning veteran from “As the World Turns”).

Rodney has completed pilots for Comedy Central, MTV, A&E and has been seen on P.Diddy’s “Bad Boys of Comedy” on HBO, Fox News Channel’s “Red Eye,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” CBS, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” and in London on the BBC’s “The World Stand’s Up.” He can currently be seen on truTV’s “The Smoking Gun Presents…” Most recently, Rodney can be seen on “comedy.tv” on the HD channel and will soon be seen on “LOL Lounge” when TBS Presents A Very Funny Festival: Just for Laughs Chicago. He has also appeared at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Determination may be Rodney Laney’s biggest asset; according to his credit report, his only asset. He is ambitious, professional, and determined. I could go on and on about me, I mean him, but I have reached the end of the page. ]]>

<![CDATA[Bill Bellamy -SPECIAL ATTRACTION]]> Using his experiences growing up in Newark, Bill Bellamy started doing stand-up while he was a student at Rutgers University. Bellamy quickly discovered how much he enjoyed making people laugh, and began honing his skills at small comedy clubs around the country and soon was making waves in the New York clubs like The Improv, The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

Two short years later, Bellamy had earned a spot on HBO’s DEF COMEDY JAM where he notoriously coined the phrase “Booty Call.” The now famous late-night rendez-vous moniker became the name for his first comedy special for Showtime; “Booty Call” was instantly one of the network’s top-rated specials. On the heels of the success of that special, in the years following, Bellamy became a staple on MTV as one of the first “VJs” on the network. He hosted several of their programming blocks, including MTV JAMS and MTV BEACH HOUSE, while interviewing everyone from the late Kurt Cobain to Janet Jackson.

Landing his own series, “The Billy Bellamy Show” in 1996, Bellamy continued to star on the big screen in addition to garnering coveted guest roles in several prominent television series. In the feature world, Bellamy starred in LOVE JONES, HOW TO BE A PLAYER, LOVE STINKS, THE BROTHERS, and ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. At the same time, showcasing his mutli-hyphenate talents, Bellamy continued to hone his comedy and stand-up prowess. He debuted his second comedy special, CRAZY SEXY DIRTY in May 2012 was one of the highest rated comedy specials of their respective years on Showtime.

Bellamy has recently guest-starred on USA’s WHITE COLLAR and appeared on several episodes of Tyler Perry’s MEET THE BROWNS on TBS. He also guest-starred on ABC’s CASTLE and USA’s ROYAL PAINS. Previously, he hosted four seasons of the TV One comedy competition show WHO’S GOT JOKES? and two seasons of NBC’s Emmy Nominated LAST COMIC STANDING.

Bellamy recently wrapped his sitcom from syndicated television comedy from producer Byron Allen, MR. BOX OFFICE. Bellamy starred alongside along side Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, and Viveca J. Fox.

Returning this year to his first love of stand-up comedy, Bellamy debuted his third Showtime comedy special, LADIES NIGHT OUT in February 2013. The nation-wide tour with the same name continued throughout the US in 2014. Both the special and the tour feature additional material by comedians Ali Siddiq, J. Reid and D'Lai.

In addition to MR. BOX OFFICE, Bill was recently a recurring co-host on THE RACHAEL RAY SHOW and ACCESS HOLLYWOOD and hosted the red carpet for the ESPY AWARDS for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT.

This past year, Bill headlined a nation-wide comedy tour, The Standing Ovation Tour with Tommy Davidson, Sommore, Marc Curry & Tony Rock. Bellamy just wrapped principal photography on his latest film THE BOUNCE BACK with Shemar Moore and Nadine Velazquez. Next up Bill will headline a six city run for our US troops stationed in Japan.

His newest venture will be hosting the Telepictures/Scripps syndicated hit show LETS ASK AMERICA which will begin shooting in August of 2014 and airing in 2015 in most of the country’s major markets.

Last fall, David starred in THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM, a Hallmark Channel adaptation of Paul Curtis' 1996 Newbery Award-winning novel by the same name. Grier recently wrapped shooting a starring role as ‘Principal Carl Gaines' in a new series for CBS, Bad Teacher.

Grier began his professional career on Broadway as Jackie Robinson in The First, for which he earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and won the Theatre World Award (1981). He then joined the cast of Dreamgirls before going on to star opposite Denzel Washington in A Soldier's Play, for which both actors reprised their roles in the film adaptation, A SOLDIER'S STORY (1984).

In 2009/2010 Grier starred in David Mamet's acclaimed play RACE opposite James Spader and Kerry Washington at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway for which he received his second Tony Award nomination. Grier received the third Tony Award nomination of his career in 2012 for his performance in the "stand-out role of the rakish, drug-dealing Sporting Life" (NY Times) in The Gershwin's Porgy & Bess. <![CDATA[Tom Arnold - Special Attraction]]> As a writer, producer, and actor, Tom Arnold has established himself to both television and film audiences worldwide, having won such awards as the Peabody Award and a Golden Globe Award. Additionally, he helped put Fox Sports Network on the map with his hosting duties on “BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD.” Arnold currently hosts CMT’s “MY BIG REDNECK WEDDING” and “MY BIG REDNECK VACATION” which premiered at the highest ratings in CMT history.

Arnold cornered the market on playing the resident comic relief in films like “NINE MONTHS” with Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore, and Robin Williams, “TRUE LIES” with Arnold Schwarzenegger, “HERO” with Dustin Hoffman, and “AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY” with Mike Myers. Arnold will next be seen in his 72nd film, Stephen Gyllenhaal’s quirky political comedy “GRASSROOTS”, Tyler Perry’s “MADEA’S WITNESS PROTECTION” and “HIT AND RUN” with Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell and Bradley Cooper.

Arnold has successfully broken out of the comedic stereotype and is becoming a fixture at film festivals by landing more mature and dramatic roles. He received critical praise for his role in “GARDENS OF THE NIGHT,” opposite John Malkovich, “THE GREAT BUCK HOWARD” starring John Malkovich and Tom Hanks, “GOOD DICK” opposite Jason Ritter, and “THE YEAR OF GETTING TO KNOW US” opposite Sharon Stone, Jimmy Fallon and Lucy Liu. In 2005, he received critical notice for his role in Don Roos’ “HAPPY ENDINGS” for Lions Gate Films. He was also seen in “PRIDE” opposite Terrance Howard, and “ANIMAL FACTORY,” directed by Steve Buscemi. Other film credits include “SOUL PLANE,” “CRADLE TO THE GRAVE,” “EXIT WOUNDS” and “THE KID & I.”

Arnold_Photo_headshot

Arnold began his career in comedy at the University of Iowa before moving to Minneapolis, where he won the Minneapolis Comedy Competition in 1988. He then moved to Los Angeles to write on the highly successful television series, “ROSEANNE,” before eventually serving as executive producer for the sitcom. He went on to star in his own HBO special entitled “TOM ARNOLD: THE NAKED TRUTH,” and then wrote, produced and starred in his own television series “THE JACKIE THOMAS SHOW,” “TOM” and “THE TOM SHOW.”

Born in Iowa, Tom has established a writing scholarship and runs an acting workshop for students at the Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. Tom is heavily involved in many charities such as The Race to Erase MS, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Best Buddies, Camp del Corazon, The Kayne Eras Center, Promises Foundation, Carousel of Hope, Arnold’s Inner City Games, The Hollenbeck Christmas Giveaway, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Special Olympics, the USO and GLAAD for which he won the Vanguard Award.

Tom Arnold recently returned to his roots as a stand-up comic. Never scripted, Tom pokes fun at his Midwest past, marital follies and absurd Hollywood stories. Just like his past film and television comedy work, Tom is a ball of chaos and charisma on stage. Showtime premiered his first stand-up comedy special on New Year’s Eve, and he frequently hosts the popular “Laughing with the Stars” weekly comedy show at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood featuring supporting acts ranging from rising young comics to all-time favorites. His shows are famous for their loose atmosphere with Tom breaking down the walls between his fellow comics and the audience. No one is quite sure what to expect any given night.

Whether it is man-on-the-street interviews, studio comedy, commercial parodies, nationwide sold-out tours, or films, Mencia demonstrates an extraordinary ability to connect with a wide and diverse audience.

Mencia comes from a humble background, born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the 17th of 18 children. His parents sent him to the United States when he was about three months old, where he was raised in Maravilla Projects in Los Angeles, California by his aunt and uncle. In his early teens, Mencia moved back to Honduras because his family wanted him to avoid the destructive gang culture of East Los Angeles. When Mencia later returned to Los Angeles, he showed such educational prowess that he was immediately promoted to the tenth grade. Soon after, he successfully graduated from Garfield High School.

Mencia began his career doing stand-up on amateur night at the comedy club, Laugh Factory. He later showcased at The Comedy Store and became a regular, performing nightly. After he found success on the L.A comedy circuit, Mencia was named “International Comedy Grand Champion” from Buscando Estrellas (the Latino version of Star Search). This led to appearances on “In Living Color,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Moesha” and “An Evening at the Improv.” In 1994, he hosted the HBO comedy series “Loco Slam” and in 1998 he hosted “Funny is Funny!” on Galavision. Mencia released a comedy album in 2000 called “Take a Joke, America” that showcased his brand of humor.

Mencia continued his journey up the comedy ladder by headlining “The Three Amigos” tour with Freddy Soto and Pablo Francisco in 2002, which sold out in record time around the United States. He was also featured in the independent films, “Outta Time” and “29 Palms” and starred in guest spots on “The Shield” and “The Bernie Mac Show,” among others. In 2002, he received a CableACE Award nomination for Best Stand-Up Comedy Special for his HBO special. That same year, Mencia was featured on “Comedy Central Presents.” Mencia remained busy and after the success of his solo dvd, “Carlos Mencia: Not For The Easily Offended,” “Mind of Mencia” went into development. The show was an instant hit and after the first season, Comedy Central signed Mencia back for his own original stand-up special, “Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached.” The special was the first Comedy Central Stand-up Special DVD to achieve Platinum sales status.

“Mind of Mencia” debuted on Comedy Central in early 2005. It became one of the strongest shows in the network’s history, averaging about 1.5 million total viewers. “Mind of Mencia” was executive produced by Carlos Mencia and Robert Morton (“Late Night with David Letterman”).

In the summer of 2007, Mencia starred opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in the Farrelly Brothers’ hit feature film, THE HEARTBREAK KID (DreamWorks). In the fall of that year Mencia headlined a nationwide comedy tour titled “Carlos Mencia Live Presented by Bud Light.” The highly anticipated tour brought Mencia face-to-face with his fans from September 2007 through December 2007. Shortly thereafter, Mencia taped a new comedy special for Comedy Central, “Carlos Mencia: Performance Enhanced,” that aired in May 2008.

Since 2007, every holiday season Mencia has embarked on a USO Tour to the Persian Gulf to entertain the troops serving overseas. For his 2008 trip, Mencia visited Kuwait to host “Operation MySpace,” an exclusive concert for American Troops in the Middle East alongside Jessica Simpson and The Pussycat Dolls. The special aired on FX in April 2008. Mencia’s 2009 USO tour had stops in Turkey, Kirkuk, Baghdad, Qatar, Afghanistan, and many other countries.

In July 2008, Mencia began his tour, “At Close Range” at Red Rock Amphitheatre in Colorado. The tour was sponsored by Bud Light and co-promoted by Icon Entertainment and Live Nation. Larger than all of his previous tours, Mencia performed in 80 cities across the country. In the summer of 2009, he kicked off a nationwide comedy tour entitled “The Administration of Laughter” which brought him to excited audiences all around the country.

In March 2010, Mencia starred in the family comedy OUR FAMILY WEDDING (FOX Searchlight) alongside America Ferrara and Forrest Whitaker.

In the last couple years, Mencia chose to go back to his comedic roots, performing at a number of comedy stores throughout the country – allowing him to share his newest material with smaller and more intimate audiences.

On Sunday, December 4th, Comedy Central will air Mencia’s latest comedy special “New Territory” which will showcase all new material with his fresh perspective.]]>

<![CDATA[Carlos Mencia -SPECIAL ATTRACTION]]> Carlos Mencia is undoubtedly one of today’s most popular entertainers and comics.
